Will Furniture Restorer remove water and heat marks?
Yes. Parslow's Furniture Restorer removes water and heat marks, smoke damage, wax and grime and old polish build-up, and in most cases saves you having to strip, re-stain and re-polish.
Do I need to strip the old finish first?
Usually not. Furniture Restorer blends into the existing colour and finish, so in most cases there's no need to strip or re-stain.
Is it safe to use on French polished furniture?
Yes. Furniture Restorer is compatible with French polish.
How do I apply Furniture Restorer?
Shake well, then apply with 0000 steel wool, rubbing gently. Work one section at a time (for example one leg at a time) and buff well with a separate flannel cloth.
When can I polish after restoring?
Apply Parslow's Furniture Polish 12 hours after using Furniture Restorer, if you'd like extra shine.
Do Parslow's products contain silicone or wax?
No. None of our products contain silicone or wax, and the minerals and ingredients in our polishes are sourced from local Australian merchants and suppliers.
Can Handyman Oil be used on floors and bar tops?
Yes. Handyman Oil penetrates and seals raw timber and can be used on bar tops and floors. Apply 2 to 3 coats, wiping off each coat after about an hour, and allow 24 hours to dry.
Can I use Handyman Oil on metal tools?
Yes. Remove excess rust with a steel brush, apply with a brush or cloth, wipe off the excess after about an hour and allow 24 hours to dry.
